Steve Goldfarb is the Fire Safety/
Emergency Planning Specialist for the University of Southern
California. He is responsible for all aspects of disaster and
emergency response planning for all USC properties. Prior to
joining USC in January 2006, Steve was the Emergency Planning
and Response Supervisor for the J. Paul Getty Trust for seven
years. He was responsible for emergency preparedness, response
and recovery for the Getty Center in Brentwood, CA and the new
Getty Villa Museum in Pacific Palisades, CA. Steve developed
and managed what is considered to be the model emergency management
program for museums, libraries and cultural institutions throughout
the world. Just prior to leaving the Getty, the program received
the BICEPP Outstanding Achievement in Emergency Preparedness
Award and the program has been recognized by local emergency
management professionals as one of the best private organization
programs in Southern California..
