Saunders__Jessie.

Jessie K. Saunders EEW Seismologist, Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences

Dr  Saunders is a seismologist at the Caltech Seismo Lab studying earthquake early warning. My research interests include understanding how earthquake ground motions relate to felt shaking during an earthquake, developing and optimizing earthquake early warning alerting strategies, and comparing the performance of different earthquake early warning alerting methods. I received my B.S. in Applied Physics with Geophysics at the University of California, Davis, and my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Earth Science from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego. Before my position at Caltech, I was a Mendenhall postdoctoral researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey Earthquake Science Center.
