The Palisades and Eaton Fires have resulted in $50 Billion damage and raise the insurance risk for the State of California. Flood damage from uncontrolled storm runoff has damaged properties in Malibu, CA, resulting in landslides. Seismicity and earthquake risk are pronounced for seismically active California with major fault zones crisscrossing the State. How can property owners reduce their risk exposure? What are contributing causes that led to Florida Surfside collapse? How can rebuilding be done safer/faster/cheaper and keep risk exposure under control?
